Volusia League of Cities Associate Members have the opportunity to interact with the membership throughout the Calendar year at our meetings. We work closely with, and are supported by, the Florida League of Cities (FLC) in representing the interests of Volusia County’s municipalities to the Florida Legislature,Governor's office and state agencies. We also assist the FLC on urban policy and public administration issues on a statewide basis.
VLOC meetings are typically held on the fourth Thursday evening of odd months. Occasionally, due to holidays, this meeting date shifts. The yearly meeting schedule will be posted online in January.

Municipalities host the meetings at venues in their city/town on a rotating basis. The meeting schedule, and locations, will be published online in January, and in each meeting invitation.
Meeting attendance varies, but is typically between 100-150 attendees. Meeting invitations are emailed to elected officials, as well as the senior administrator(s) for each municipality. Our Affiliate Members are also invited, and may send the number of representatives allocated by their membership level.
The VLOC is led by anExecutive Board, who are elected by the membership.
